Does anyone know how to disable the Dell Quick Set on a Dell laptop?

I just used the add/remove program and removed it.

The only bad thing about uninstalling it, is the volume controls on the laptop stop working. At least on mine.


Is there a particular reason why you want to completely disable it?

When you start the laptop the desktop appears then it flickers and the desktop reverts to a little square and teh only way I can get rid of the square is to click on Dell Quick Set and then a menu pops up and I click on Turn Off Presentation Mode. Then whenever I re-boot it always goes back into presentation mode.

Is there another way to turn off presentation mode?

yes it is weird.....

when i start the laptop. the desktop comes up then thescreen flickers and the screen like shrinks. the way i fix it is by clicking on the dell quick set icon on the task bar and then clicking turn off presentaion mode or turn off quick set (not exactly sure what it says) then the screen reverts back to the full size.

so i thought if i un-installed the dell quick set it would fix my problem.
