I done a show IP route and not to sure on the Output - See below.
RouterA#show ip route 172.25.10.0
Routing entry for 172.25.10.0/24
Known via "static", distance 1, metric 0
Redistributing via ospf 1
Advertised by ospf 1 subnets route-map red-test
Routing Descriptor Blocks:
* 172.27.20.70
Route metric is 0, traffic share count is 1
So from the above, I see this is a static route, manually entered?
What does the the following part refer to?
"Redistributing via ospf 1
Advertised by ospf 1 subnets route-map red-test"

atorven Member Posts: 319Yes, this is a static route which was manually entered (as all static routes are).
The second part means that this static route is being redistributed into ospf – The subnets section means subnets are included in the redistribution (not just the classful networks) and all this is being filtered through a route map called “red-test”.
Hope that helps. -

What is a route map used for, in easy to understand words..:)...? -
