I also have the old version, and have just passed the CompTia Exam (on Friday), so if you are wondering if you need the new version to pass, my answer would be that the old version is perfectly adequate (it formed the basis for my studies).

    Hope this helps.

I have both the new and the old book, and I think that the new book is better overall. Its laid out better and seems to be clearer and easier to read than the old version. Not that I've read it too much, but so far it seems better. However, the old book is probably sufficient to pass the test with.

Has anyone else noticed the new book has no CD with the PDF or am I missing something? I downloaded the extra material from the site but there was no PDF in it. I usually load the PDF on my tablet for when I cannot lug the book around icon_sad.gif

The only pdf I could find was for the glossary. Maybe they are thinking that if we really want a electronic version of the book, we can purchase the kindle version that is available.

I have both the old and new editions. The differences are absolutely minimal and you have to look very closely to find them. If you have the old edition then I would suggest not bothering with the new one. If buying for the first time then there is obviously no harm in getting the new one.
