New here but seems like a great group of people and a lot of knowledge. I am curious to see what kind of salary a position like this deserves.
Little Background
6+ years in a technical/IT role
Spent last three year role with a major hospital in the IT department doing desktop support/break fix/ and various other tasks that weren't in my job description that I felt were above the pay rate I was at. Went from there to a small doctors office making 50k but floating further away from the IT field (was more so on-site fire fighter). Left there for a job with a managed services company that I thought was going help me get back on the IT track. They told me in the first week it wasn't going to work out and let me go. Spent next three months being unemployed and seeking next opportunity.
Got into a contract to hire position with a company experiencing huge growth. Now my title is Support Specialist. I was hired in because of my previous experience in providing support, working helpdesk, and equipment handling within a corporate environment. Since I started there my initiatives and suggestions have led to us dumping our previous call center/helpdesk and equipment depot and bringing both services in house, saving roughly 12K a month. Most of our employees are in the field so sending and receiving laptops, mobile printers/scanners is a constant. Bringing the equipment handling in house has cut the turn around time significantly. I can typically process a request and have the equipment sent out same day whereas previously it would be 5-7 days. (they now get tracking info too which makes them happy). Using the service desk software I found that we are now using has helped out tremendously with accountability and tracking of issues. Rarely do we drop the ball now.
Current Duties
-manage IT inbox and ticket the requests accordingly (I handle a majority of the issues directly)
-front line support (emails, calls, walk-ups)
-network account creation
-some entry level network stuff
-owner/chairmans right hand Mac/Apple guy that creates his sons hockey videos and manages his sons website
-process equipment request
-break/fix
-all around good guy

I also have a couple certifications and I'm working on a BS in IT w/Software Emphasis from WGU. Currently I am making 20hr, no benefits, no PTO. I am hoping this company will see my value and offer to convert me to a full employee. What salary would you guys feel this deserves? I appreciate it in advance.
