Hi all,

I took recently the MCITP SA. Now i'm thinking to take the sqlserver path. But i have a question. It is worth to take the 70-417 exam and upgrade from MCSA 2008 to MCSA 2012?

Thanks in advance.

It probably is since it's just one exam, but the 417 is a composite exam of 3 sub-exams and these composite ones are never easy. You fail one sub-exam, you fail the entire thing. So if you are a DB admin and want to stay on that route, skip the 417 and get yourself the MCSE on SQL Server. More bang for your buck and in line with what your thinking.
    NSX, NSX, more NSX..

The problem is that in my job i am a 80% Sysadmin and 20% SqlServer DBA. Therefore is not worth take 70-417?
And another question: For you which are the most valueable certification nowadays?

    Thank you.

    Regards.
