Hello Guys,

I have been studying for my written for a about 2 months I have watched all the INE videos and finished 3/4 of the The official certification guide. I now have the opportunity to attend a CCIE Written boot-camp on my employers dime, and I wanted to know if you guys think there would be much value in attended the course since I have been studying for a while and I feel I can obtain the written on my own.

Has anyone here attended a CCIE Written Boot-camp?

Hmm, if they're willing to invest in a written and lab boot camp then definitely go. If only one, I'd try to convince them for a lab boot camp since that's where everyone gets tripped up. You don't really read about people failing the written three times. Lab, yes. I'm sure with the videos, the book and Boson, you'll pass the written exam.

They will pay for both, I just don't want to be wasteful and spend 3 grand of their money on something I really didn't need that much.

Since your Navy IT I'll reply, lol. If someone else is paying go for it. I'm not sure how much value you can get. I know most people read the book, then they do a lot of the Vol 1 labs and that puts them in great shape to pass the written pretty easily.

I don't see the point of a Written Bootcamp other than to transfer money into someone else's pockets unnecessarily. Spend that week reading Routing TCP/IP Vol I and II.

You could impress your employer and tell him not to spend that 3 grand on the written boot camp. Get rack rental tokens or perhaps the workbooks. Employers always appreciate honest employees. Why waste their money just because you can?

Which written bootcamp are you going to attend if you decide to go ahead?

I was looking at CCBOOTCAMP, IP Expert, and Todd Lammel but note sure of the quality of CCBOOTCAMP's or Todd Lammle's material. All I know about Lammle/Globalnetis that he has Narbik teach his lab boot-camps I haven't seen much info about CCBOOTCAMP.

a friend of mine has used CCBOOTCAMP (the las vegas location), in the past and highly recommends them to anyone who is looking for a bootcamp. Not much info, but at least its one positive vote for them

I attended one on my employers dime, and really didn't need it, they clarified a few topics, but I arrived at the class pretty prepared. If I had to do it again, I would probably skip it.
