MSP looking for Level 2 systems/network technician Phoenix Arizona
This job is a fast paced environment working for an MSP that has presence in Phoenix, Tucson and New Mexico. The job would be working from home 80+% remote work with about 15-20 hours a month onsite throughout Phoenix metro. Occasional work in other parts of the state. As mentioned this is a fast paced environment and you would be expected to keep the ticketing system up to date on status of every ticket assigned, and keep the Dispatcher current on all statuses. We have clients of all sizes from 1 employee to many hundred.
Looking for the following technical skills:
Windows Server 2003, 2008, 2008R2, 2012
Windows XP, 7, 8
Active Directory: setting up users, editing and applying group policy, diagnosing group policy problems
Exchange Server: setting up email accounts, basic power shell administration, SSL certificates
IIS server: SSL certificates, host headers, reverse proxy
Desktop and Server hardware: Upgrades, diagnostic, repair
Networking: Cisco, Watchguard, WiFi, DNS, DHCP, routing, NAT, ACL, diagnostics, cabling
finding opportunities for upgrades and sales
Virtualization: Hyper-V, VMware, Citrix Xen
Citrix Xen App and Microsoft RDS
Configuration of mobile devices such as smart phones and tablets
Other Requirements:
Curious to clients
Good communication
Timeliness
Reliable transportation
The ability to deal with client emergencies after hours or the occasional long day
Ability to recommend upgrades and infrastructure improvements
Ability to lift 75 lbs
Ability to crawl under desks or other tight areas equipment may be
