How often does Cisco change its exam or is this classified info?

How often does Cisco change its exam or is this classified info?


As in, I assume that whenever Cisco changes its bank of exam questions, other authors would update their publishing as well?


Do these exams stay consistent for at least a few years?

    Cisco updates their exam content when they feel it's no longer up to date or doesn't meet the feedback they receive from their customers, so there's no real set schedule.

    Typically when this happens, the available training material is updated as well; when the CCNP was updated 3 years ago, Cisco Press wasn't far behind with books for the new exams.
    11/29/12: Begin CCNP ROUTE.

    So if I bought the materials(Odom's book, practice exams, etc) last September 2012, I can still assume the bank of exam questions remain the same?
