in CCNA & CCENT
Hey folks
I finally passed CCNA ICND today. I am really really thankful to my parents.... Coz last time after failing with 782 i was totally gave up...and they came to my rescue as always
thanks to webmaster again.. I learned heaps from this forum and the most important thing i learned from webmaster was Never rely on a single source... I did this stupid mistake twice ...
In the first exam i totally relied on Cisco , 2nd time only on Todd Lammle's Book but third time i took several resources ... 1) Todd Lammle's Book 2) Another not very popular book from Thomson press 3) This site and a bit from other websites on the go .....
Well i was not feeling well so i was not sure i could pass the test... I saw few questions that were same from previous test... but the exam was more difficult as compared to last time in which i got 782
This time i got 875 ...i cant call it a good score ... but yeh atleast passed ... i just pressed next next without watching what was coming up after i finished the exam ... I couldnt see if i passed or not until i got a print out ... then i realized i passed
Very busy with uni these days but surely find time to have some party and stuff
Thanks again to all other people and webmaster for their help for answering my questions and stuff...

Good luck with ur exam... i noticed you are studying from heaps of sources and doing intense study... So passing it wont be a big problem i had to carry on it with my uni ...so kinda felt difficultFeels good doesnt it
It feel like 20 kgs of load suddenly removed from my head
Can any one plz tell me if the certification expiry date starts from when i pass Intro or ICND? I passed intro in Feb 2005 but i passed ICND today... So from which day will it be counted?
And whats the use of certification logo?
Finally will i get certificate automatically or do i have to activate anything on cisco registeration site?
First time i got any certificate...so i am kinda unsure
thanks in advance:santa: -
kplab Member Posts: 101The CCNA certification is valid for 3 years starting from the date you are certified, i.e. the date you passed the ICND exam. You can logon to the Certification Tracking System on the Cisco Website to verify that. In addition, you need to sign the certification agreement online in the system to get your certificate.

thanks
As i took 2 exam approach i prepared approx 1 month for Intro in JAN 2005- FEB05...I planned both the exams according to my Xmas holidays... but it was delayed almost a month coz all the centres in sydney accept credit card only! (well they do accept cash but from their internal students only).... So i was really late... applied for a card...it took almost 1 month to get it and stuff....
An in feb i gave the exam and i passed Intro ... So i thought that it would be a nice idea to pass ICND as well there and then... I prepared for ICND around a month and took the exam and failed the 1st time.....
After that my uni started again... so for the next 15 weeks there was no chance to study CCNA with my Uni stuff ...so almost 1 month studies was wasted there and then....
So i thought i will do it in the next break(June05)between the semsters.... I had to study all the books again as its important to remember small stuff but i prepared again for one month ... gave it and failed again.... So it was like 2 months of studies in total without any result... no wonder it was really frustrating.... studying it over and over.....
but the 3rd time was lucky for me ... So yeh .... its time to look for some job and stuff:santa: -
erc20 Member Posts: 5 ■□□□□□□□□□Congrats!! Got my N+ in June and just started studying for my CCNA the past day or so. Using Lammle's book. Haven't been on a router in about 3 months, and start my NP classes in a few days. I'm comfortable with about a month of studying or more or so, but any advice on what to look out for??

QUIX0TIC Member Posts: 277Only advice anyone can give is to:
1. study profusely.
2. Dont rely only on one source.
3. If you dont understand a concept, re-read it again and ask questions.
Even though you say that you have your N+... did you cert your CCNA? You made a comment saying that you will go into CCNP classes and the NA classes give you are better structure than the N+."To realize one's destiny is a person's only obligation." -

I dunno, failing it yesterday made me kind of angry and maybe a bit numb as well but as a few hours went by I actually got charged up.
I searched around and finally found a serial WIC and a DTE/DCe cable so I can make my 1005 and 2611 talk via serial. Also got a few more resources and even got some material on a server 2003 exam that interests me.
I guess I channeled my disappointment and anger into a desire to beat the living crap out of this cert next go around.
So it's all good in the end..
..........If this had been an actual emergency the attention signal you've just heard.................would have been too late
