For people looking for experience...

I found this site tonight and I thought it might be great for some of the newbs around here looking for a little extra experience to get on their resume. There seems to be tons of IT projects that would range from easy to hard and it would be pretty easy to fill in some IT employment gaps as well as gain valuable experience and recommendations

Sounds awesome to me. I'm assuming IT development would be more programming than support?

What would someone with an A+/Net+/Sec+ choose? "Consulting"?

I would recommend some of the small IT Development projects or develop an online course. It all looks good on resumes

Started applying hard core last Monday after finally getting my A+ (took me almost 2 months longer than i thought it would - life kinda got in the way). Woke up to a voice-mail this morning offering me a position. Awesome company, although the commute will be killer. Still, I think I'm gonna jump on the opportunity.

Congrats man! Make the sacrifice for a year, get that CCNA and you will be solid. Thanks for the link Iris, I've never found that site, looks interesting.

I'm taking my A+ in a couple weeks then my Net+ and I'm actually looking forward to it. Congrats on the position and definitely take the position for the experience at least.

Great, another site which I can add to my small, but growing, collection. Thank you for posting it. I've been looking through a couple of sites; however, the IT-based opportunities appear to be quite limited. This site seems superior in this regard.

This is what I have thus far (for anyone interested):
