Passed the test today. My score wasn't quite what I wanted it to be (792) but I'll take a pass at this point so I can move on to the next test.
I only took about a month and a half to prepare for the test, and if I hadn't been under the gun to pass the test before my term at WGU was out, I'd have taken another month or so.
For study materials, I used the following:
-MS Press Self study guide (This wasn't bad, but the labs were the best part of it.)
-Amazon.com: MCTS 70-642 Cert Guide: Windows Server 2008 Network Infrastructure, Configuring (9780789748300): Don Poulton: Books
-CBT Nuggets
-IT Free Training
-VMware Lab
All I can really say is do every single lab that you can get your hands on. There is a severe lack of material for this particular test, and TechNet ended up being my best friend.
On to 70-640...

Nicely done mate, that's not a bad score at all. Anything above 700 on these MS exams is a good score!
Lab, lab and lab some more for the 640. TechNet will always be your best friend for all the EA exams. Good luck with the next one! -

Congrats on the MCTS!
Actually, 700 (what I got..lol) and above is a good score.No longer work in IT. Play around with stuff sometimes still and fix stuff for friends and relatives.
