Which CCNA book?

I've been using the CCNA book by Todd Lammle as my study guide but
i wanted another book to supplement my preperation for the CCNA. I just went out and brought CCNA ICND which I just noticed is for the 640-811 exam...doh! Which ciscopress book should I get to prepare for the CCNA?
I'm sure they have one specifically for the 640-811 exam what is the exact title?

I wouldn't toss that book. That one has more of what you need in it than the Intro book and it breaks out the ICND side of the CCNA exam much better than the All-in-one titles. That book and the companion book for the Intro side are supposed to be used together. What happens is that much of the information from the intro side gets into the ICND side only in more detail which I found helpful.

I'm undecided at which of the 2 I should buy either the CCNA certification library or both the ICND and the intro both by ciscopress. I read Todd's book 3 times but I need a reinforcement cause i still don't understand a few things.

If you are concerned about that... and if you are focusing on getting the Cisco Press then I would recommend the CCNA Preparation Library instead of the Certification Library. The Prep library is more designed to be more inclusive of information while the cert library is more technical in its discussions.

thanks for explaing the difference between the 2. There's a big difference between prices as you probably already know. The CCNA PREP at Barnes and Noble is $97 the ICND with the Intro is $43.30. I'm sure online is cheaper but I don't want to wait for delivery cause i'm just about ready to take the exam. I just wanted to go over a few topics that wasn't covered completely in Todd's CCNA 4th Ed.

Todd Lammle did another book that's a pretty good resource for brushing up before the test. It's meant as more of a review than a study tool though. It's called "CCNA Fast Pass" and its only about 350 pages long. I really fast read too. It's not going to tell you all you need to know to pass the exam but it will help with review.

Yes, that Fast Pass does help. Just keeps you focused on the major items instead of the semantics of all the subjects.
