Starting out in SQL

Hello everyone. I was just hired on with a company that's wanting me to learn SQL. Any tips starting out? Do I need to go through the MCSA? Just trying to lay down a path.

are you familiar with phpmyadmin? it is a good starting point. it is a great tool for admining mysql. i used to use it for years. it often comes standard with webhosting services.
