Which certifications should i get?
hell911
Hi,
I'm about to get into networking diploma program and planning to get certifications later (like months later).
Which certifications should i get? I mean, from Basic certifications to the Professional ones? Which are they? Can you please list them.
Thanks

I'd say go:
ccent>ccna>ccna:sec>jncia>ccnp r&s then specialize in whatever you find the most interesting. Why this route? Mainly I think ccna:sec takes up what I'd say ccna r&s is missing(i.e ntp/logs/'cisco' vpns etc.). jncia will simply open more doors, and at the point where you're studying for ccnp you will probably have 1-3 years experience. However, don't just take certs and only read through the cert material. Also try pick up a scripting language, where I would say bash then transition into perl/python. Linux and vmware are usually plusses as well.
Just my 2 cents anyway.

CCNA comes to mind
Xyro
Basic = Network+
Intermediate = CCENT (This is technically half of a CCNA but is a certification in & of itself)
Advanced = CCNA
Professional = ? (unknown where your interest areas(s) may lie)
