Failed 811 with a 725

I took the 811 test for the first time earlier this week and failed with a 725. I prepared for the test using only the Wendell Odom ICND book. When I took the test, I had several questions that I was totally unprepared for. On the advice of others on the forum, I went out and purchased Sybex Tood Lammle's 5th edition book. Just briefly skimming through the book, I am impressed with the depth of detail and scenarios the ICND book did not have. As someone else mentioned, I do now realize that I should not have limited myself to a single source for studying. We'll it's back on the horse to give it another go.

See the positive side: You now know what to expect and you had a chance to identify your weak spots. Once you have worked on them you will go into the second round with a lot for confidence.

    Best if luck ! icon_smile.gif

P.S.: The Sybex Guide is indeed a great book. It got me through CCNA.

A is for academics, B is for beer. One of those reasons is why I'm not here. So leave a message

Webmaster gave me the mantra dont rely on single source and trust me it works! :)

Well, the most you can say is that it is a lesson learned regarding the "one source" issue. Best of luck next time and just keep the persistance up!

Some people have failed it over 3 times and they still come back to pass! Just dont give up.
