Rob's CCIE Journey
About two weeks ago I started my journey to become a CCIE. I finished my CCNP a little over a year ago and feel its time to start seriously working toward my ultimate goal becoming a CCIE. I am using the Cisco press certification guide and CBT nuggets for the written exam which I plan to take around April/May time frame, then using INE and CBT nuggets for lab study. Possibly taking a boot camp in Atlanta the end of the summer or fall. I will use this forum to update with how my studying is going and things I find helpful for myself along with getting some group studying and input from others. I know I am not the first to do this and I will not be the last, however, I have used this forums a lot for earning certifications and I can only hope my posts may help someone in the future.

nerdydad Member Posts: 261Rob, I noticed your status says deployed, if you are military or have a .mil email address, you should have access to Safari Books, which is a gold mine for CCIE studies. The cert guide is good, but it assumes you have a lot of knowledge already and is kind of light in it's depth because of this. Safari Books is great because you can read almost every book out there written on these subjects, or just the parts of the book you need.
Good luck, I would put off buying any equipment for labbing that doesn't support IOS 15 until after Cisco Live this year. -
