V-locity Performance Accelerator
Has anyone used a product like this before? They are fragmentation experts but it seems like they are doing many more things on the VM layer so I don't know how well this works.

Anyone use anything like this? The product says it re-organizes disk read/writes in a way that makes more sense and significantly increases performance. It works on the Virtual Machine itself and not on the host. -

Personally I would not trust any thing like this. The likes of VMware have spent billions on research to insure there are as few over heads as possible.
Sounds like its trying to be a version of "native command queuing", trying to run this in software is going to suck up a lot of CPU, yes it might improve the disk write efficiently but at what cost and I bet it works great when you don't really need it, but once its under-pressure the bottle necks appear.
