Hi,
Does any one else here suffer from Tinitus? I have since I was about 15, or as long as I can remember (i dont ever recal being able to listen to silence ) and over the last 3 or 4 years it has got a lot worse ( in line with my blood pressure I got married 5 years ago so may be that has some thing to do with it

). My BP is not signifently elevated so don't think that is the main cause.
I just wondered is any one else suffers and if so have you tried any treatments that have worked, or how do you go about managing it? I can't listen to masking noise as I don't have a form that it works for and generally wearing headphones just makes it worse.
For those who have not had the pleasure I can best describe the experience as some one blowing a high pitch dog whistle (you know the ones that are near the top end of you hearing range and really annoying !) 24/7 and loud enough that you have to struggle to hear people talking over it. I am thankful mine started so long ago much quieter and I have had 20 years to get use to the sound, I think if it started today like this I would go mad!
