SharePoint 2010/Access 2007 help?

Are there any SharePoint gurus out there? I am helping out with a quirky issue with SharePoint (Foundation) 2010.

I'm trying to link an Access 2007 table to create a SharePoint 2010 list.

From Access 2007, I navigate to SharePoint List under Export from External Data, and enter my SP site, but I get the message Access could not connect to the site you specified. Verify the address of the site or contact your site administrator.

The odd part to me is I can create a list on SharePoint, and select Open with Access, save the Access database locally, and then update the table locally and synchronize with SharePoint. So they can communicate with each other, whether I modify the list from SP or Access, the other reflects the update.

I have permissions (logged in as Administrator with Full Control).

I played around with a test instance of SP Foundation 2010 on my laptop and I was able to get this working fine, so I'm not sure what would be different in the other instance.

Looks like it was due to Central Admin not having AAM setup for Internet zone. Working now.

Sorry we couldn't assist. I appreciate you sharing what the fix was or the issue. When you first posted I did some research but couldn't find anything that remotely addressed what you were experiencing.
    Cheers

No worries! I'm glad I was able to figure it out and share with the forum in case anyone else experiences it. The SharePoint admin typically only deals with sites, being on the DoD side of things, so he wasn't familiar with Central Admin. I had a feeling it was going to be AAM related. I used remote desktop to the server, and noticed AAM wasn't setup, so I just added the domain zone, since everyone was trying to link access from the domain address, and no one apparently tried locally since we are all offsite.
