CCIE Security V4 lab

just curious if anyone has attempted to build their own lab since the changes. I have ISE, ACS and the ASAs and about to get my hands on a 5515x for my home lab as well. Should I worry about getting a X900 router or can I get it down with a x800 series router with the 15 code? I also need to get Prime going as well. Just getting really pricey to build this lab out.

Couldn't you do a rack rental? Unless your job is supplying you with the hardware, you're looking at a heavy investment.

Regarding the x900 vs. x800, unless there are specific modules that you need to work with, x800 series routers should be fine. Even if there are some x900 specific things, you can probably do 95%+ on x800s, and rent a lot of remote rack time for the difference in price.
