I'm about to adventure the ISACA world and attempt to get the CISM. I already have a few certifications like mile2's Certified Information Systems Security Officer. And although the CISSO has some IS management, it only has a few modules. On that note, does anyone have any strong prep guides that you found extremely helpful? The official CISM course content is a nightmare at best and I have thus far not found any good 3rd party CISM books out there....
Any advice?

I just used the ISACA review manual and Q&A review books. They are a bit dry and you probably shouldn't operate any heavy machinary after reading a few sections. But I found the materials to be sufficient to take the exam.

I don't have any experience with ISACA or the CISM so can't speak directly to it. However, if you haven't found it yet, you might like to check out the ISACA CISA CISM forum on this site:

I appreciate it. I do have the official manual but seriously, I got a headache just looking at it. I only wonder if ISACA understands what an instructional designer is. The way the course was written looks like a dictionary... Like he said, don't operate any heavy machinery after reading... Thanks guys and I will look at the CISM forum.
