The MCSE WinXP Pro For Dummies book is available as an eBook for free from the official site here: http://media.wiley.com/assets/188/81/0764516310.pdf

I was really surprised to find it hosted on the official site of all places! I'm not certain how good this particular book is as a study guide for the 70-270 so if anyone else has any experience with this one, feedback would be appreciated. Otherwise, I will find out soon enough myself ...

    Thanks, Very Nice. I will save that pdf file along with the rest of my 70-270 documents. Yes, it is odd that it would be available, but some things can't be explained. icon_smile.gif

    Passed today, using this book, Transcender and of course the TechNotes here (thanks Johan and Lisa!)

    I also have just a little experience with XP, so I'm sure that helped. icon_wink.gif

    If there is one thing I'd recommend studying the hell out of for this exam, it is RIS. This was covered in great detail throughout my exam.

    My lights were off entire weekend drunken_smilie.gif . Thanks for recomending the freebie. I am now using it alongside Sybex. I'm sick of XP crashing which is why i'm studying for this exam so that i can always get to the bottom of things.

    I am new to this forum. Just passed 70-290. Back in 2000 when studying for my last of 6 MSCE test (IIS), I decided to use a dummies book for studying. I was confident and passed on first try.
