Invited for full day interview at college. What to expect?

Had a phone interview with HR and IT department last week regarding a Help Desk position at a local college. They asked a bunch of "HR Questions" and some scenarios. Now they invited me for a full day interview at the university. I am expected to be there from 9 am to 3 pm and it includes a "lunch conversation." I don't know what to expect, never had an interview that lasts that long. Obviously they're testing my social skills and see how I interact with my peers. I'd like some input from you guys on what to expect.

Well, your morning will likely begin with a brief introduction, followed by each interviewer grilling you on a different technical aspect of your position. A focus on scenarios ("What would you do?") is an obvious approach if you bring little in the way of certification or experience. The lunch meeting will almost certainly be with a manager, so as to save his time, although it less often includes the whole team. The post-lunch interviews can vary, but tends to include the strongest stakeholders from either a technical or managerial perspective. That's because, by then, they have early feedback and can avoid wasting their time if unwarranted.
