TSHOOT done
well I beat TSHOOT this morning, which was the last of the three for me. To be perfectly honest it was the easiest of the 3 P level tests. I really wish I didn't wait so long to take it after finishing route and switch, but I was so psyched out by what a co-worker said.
Best advice to folks getting ready for it is to go through the 3 tshoot bullseye strategy videos on youtube.
Learn the topo like the back of your hand, it will save you time
"Follow the path" works great to narrow down precisely where the issue lies
use the abort strategy to check your answers
I used Rene Molinaar's mastering tshoot book which did a great job of reviewing all the salient points.
You NEED to know what will break neighbor relationships between routers down cold.
You NEED to know to know your layer 2 material (vlans, trunking)
You NEED to watch out for those pesky access lists
All in all I thought the test was quite fair, I was a little disappointed by the inability to pipe (|) commands into show run, but the configs weren't so long that I wasted too much time looking for the right section, so no big deal.

I did Boson exams for all three which I found invaluable as well...Cisco was my first networking love, but my "other" router is a Mikrotik... -

sacredboy Member Posts: 303 ■■■□□□□□□□Guys who have already passed TSHOOT please clarify one question. There is 4 subqustions in each troubleticket. Does each troubleticket mean one question or four questions? In other words if the total number of questions is around 40 (according to the information on cisco website). So each troubleticket is counted as one question or as four questions?Best, sacredboy!
