Is Linux+ the A+ of Linux Certs?

LAN_ManLAN_Man Member Posts: 31 ■■□□□□□□□□
I've read on other forums that people consider the Linux+ the A+ of Linux certs. I have just started studying for Linux+and was wondering if it would be more worth while to study for my RHCE? How do you feel?

You could do the ol' SAT style comparisons:

Linux+ is to RHCE what A+ is to MCSE

Basically, yes, the Linux+ is a very much entry-level certification that is great for people who are brand-new to Linux and have never really worked with it or spent any time with it before. If you're just starting out - or interested in pursuing LPI certifications - stick with Linux+. If you're a bit more experienced, go straight for the RHCE.

Agree with @Slowhand 100%. The Linux+ is a multiple choice exam, and the RHCE is hands-on. The Red Hat exams are tough......
