I've recently started my preparation for MCITP Server Administration exam. I've learned that these exams are going to retire.
What does that mean? Do I need to stop preparing for my exams?
P.S - I may not be able to attend exams before July 2013.

The new Server 2012 certificates (which comprise the 70-41x exams) will probably have to be your new path then. A great deal of the Server 2008 R2 knowledge needed to pass the 70-64x series of exams is needed for the 70-41x exams. You'll end up having credentials for Microsoft's latest flagship server product. -

You can however earn the MCSA 2008 after this date which consists of the same exams.
If you complete the MCITP:SA before 7/31/2013 you will also earn the MCSA 2008.
