For the last month or two, i been looking at doing the CCNA SP or start on CCNP route, tbh i've been a bit lazy and just reading articles and few bits and bobs no serious study. I find myself on the CCNA security exam syllabus and whoop whoop im here!!!
Im going to forget about NP and SP for now and spend the next 3/4 months trying to get the CCNA security. I'm probably going to do about 3 hours a night 7 days a week. Wanted to ask you guys what exam stuff do you recommend. I use GNS and PT.
What route have people taken to study for this?
Any help would be great.
Cheers

darkerz Member Posts: 431 ■■■■□□□□□□Don't study every day for hours a day. You will burn out, make sure to give yourself a 2 day break! The importance here is learning refreshed and tuned in, not as a chore.

DANMOH009 Member Posts: 241Thanks mate, i might have one day break or something then. The weekends normally my break anyway, 3 hours on a sat/sun should be fine, Im a very slow reader too

Jasiono Member Posts: 896 ■■■■□□□□□□I did the same study method you did for my humanities course and now I have to go back and redo it all. I would give yourself more rest if it gets too much. I usually read for 30 minutes, slowly, every hour or so.
Maybe it's just me lol -
ajmatson Member Posts: 289GNS3 is more than fine and will allow you to connect to the routers with CCP (Assuming you are taking the 554 exam ) I studied for a few weeks about 4 hours a day reading the 553 book and watching the 554 CBT Nuggets and a lot of hands on. The exam is not as hard as the CCNA material IMHO. You will do great, good luck on it.Working on currently:
