70 680 vs 70 682

What is the difference between these two exams? Do they get you different certs or something? From what I can tell they appear to be the same or very similar

70-680 is the Windows 7 exam and 70-682 is the upgrade exam for Windows XP MCDSTs & MCITP: Enterprise Support Technicians on Windows Vista. 70-682 is basically 70-680 & 70-685 glued together, but you need to be a MCDST or MCITP:EST first to take it.

    OK, that makes sense.

What about 70 685? Do you need to have any pre reqs to take the 70 685? What is the difference between that and the 70 680? What materials wold one recommend for the 70 685 exam?

685 is PRO level. If you take it without having taken the 680, you will receive no certification (other than MCP). Passing the 680 will provide the MCTS. If you pass both the 680 & 685 you will be rewarded with the MCITP level certification.

So you have to take the 70 680 and the 70 685 to get MCITP? What about just the 70 680 on its own?

    See below:
Passing the 680 will provide the MCTS.

Well, that is unfortunate, Seems like the blockage is on the 70 680, with how little deployment stuff my job type does, its too bad the 70 685 alone doesn't get me anything...
