First IT Job

shyguyITshyguyIT Member Posts: 380
I landed my first IT job just two weeks after getting A+ certified, it will be for a call center where I will be doing desktop support. I am going to be taking a bit of a pay cut but it is worth it for the experience. Plus they pay for bootcamps, study material, cert exams, and have tuition reimbursement. Pretty excited! :)

Congrats but why did you feel like you needed to take a pay cut?

Being his first IT job he probably came from a more established career doing something else, and making more money, but wanted to get in the door doing IT work.

    Thanks everyone!

@broli720 Danielm7 is correct I was in the banking industry but I was at a dead end job, no opportunity for advancement. So I decided to take a pay cut in order to get my foot in the door in IT.

    Thanks!

@Sponx Well I just started working on my Network+, so I will be looking to try and get some experience working on their network as well in order to become a network admin.

@Ivanjam It's hard but keep at it, I sent out ALOT of resumes out until finally I got an offer. I currently live in Arizona.

Yes, I am a criminal. My crime is that of curiosity. My crime is that of judging people by what they say and think, not what they look like. My crime is that of outsmarting you, something that you will never forgive me for.
