I haven't been active as much on these boards lately due to being busy finishing college in June instead of working on the CCNA all the time but I feel I owe it to you guys to share the good news. It's thanks to your help here that contributed to me getting the job. I was just officially hired today. As of now I'm officially a software and desktop support technician.

aka helpdesk

I wanted to thank everyone for the resume critiques, and the general job advice on where I should and should not look for jobs(dice for example is not good). For this job, I just happened to be looking at craigslist and found an IT job that would fit my college schedule perfectly it was just pure luck.
I will say I applied for many different jobs over the past few months, so the real key is persistence and knowing where to look.
Also I will eventually ask my boss now but I can tell you that you certs do pay off even basic ones like I have.
I've done a job similar to helpdesk but I believe that was much harder because I didn't understand that business. I know technology this will be hard at first but there so many opportunities open for me now! Thanks again!
