I slew the dragon on 31st August, such a relief! now i feel confident to move onto CCNP.
Felt great when I was doing the exam and knew I was choosing the right answers, had a mental block on Mac priorities - couldn't for the life of me remembere if the higher took priority or lower, but i just kept calm, my sim was the third to the last question.
Once i had completed the sim i had about 14mins to spare. I finished with about 9mins left knowing i had passed.
My preparations over roughly 6 months
Sybex 4th edition
Cisco ICND 5 day training
Home Lab - 3 2500 series
2 2600 ''
2 2950 switches
Cisco Press from training, filled the gap for NAT in Sybex
Practise at work with live faults
Help from this forum!!
A week off work to finalise
A word of advise - Don't give up. I now know my previous two attempts I was not ready because as soon as i got to a question which was tricky I panicked. This time I didn't panick, just eliminated the ones i knew where definitely wrong and picked the closest answers i felt were right.
Hope this helps and encourage someone as previous posts encouraged me.
Thanks
