Books?
Hey guys, this is my first post. I just finished my A+ and am about to begin studying for my network+ tomorrow. I use professor messer but I don't know what text books are that great. Can anyone make some recommendations please.
Thanks in advance and I look forward to becoming a part of the community.

If you need additional help before the test, try the Exam Cram after you finish the 2 resources above.
If you plan on going further into networking however, the Todd Lammle (Sybex) book might be better. It's more technical than the above. But if you're not planning on going Cisco/Juniper anytime soon, it's kind of overkill and might confuse you more than necessary.Goals for 2018:

Plantwiz Mod Posts: 5,057 ModMeyers for A+ and NET+
Sybex for A+ and NET+ (as a secondary text) and SEC+ (first text)
And this isn't saying the Sybex texts are inferior, giving the scenerio, I recommend two books...but when money is tight and you can only get one, the above is the order I'd personally select.Plantwiz

'i' before 'e' except after 'c'.... weird? -

garryeb Member Posts: 9 ■□□□□□□□□□Thanks again everyone. I'll try to remember the security recommendations. So far I love the all in one book. I really hated the one I chose for my A+ studying. Thank god for professor messer though.

It was the 700 series but I flipped through the 800 as well. It may be okay for some people but I really didn't like it at all. I found the style confusing and the practice tests were horrible I thought. I wouldn't recommend it. -
