Resume Feedback Requested

Hey all.

I'll upload here, but I think it'll be in better resolution if you use the link.I'm sure it can use a bit of work. I already see a few redundant references.

Why "Interests"? Well, I'm of the impression that a resume should be from margin to margin, top to bottom, and left to right; as if one wished they simply had more room. Void spaces = "Well, I guess this guy doesn't have enough to say about himself." (Of course, this has to be done without seeming like a wall of text.)

Pending certs: Well, this resume will be a template for when I do have the certs. I'm still in a contract with the Military, so I don't expect to be handing this resume out until I've completed the certs.

I am hardly an expert (I had my own review my resume thread just last week), but I disagree. A little white space at the end, to me, looks like you know when to quit, you aren't over-doing it and as someone who has to read these things every now and then I like the idea of white-space. If I see margin-to-margin I think, "Oh, man... Do I want to read this whole thing?"; a little white-space gives me some mental relief.

As I don't have to right now to really READ this, I can say that a couple of things jump out visually - I would right-align the dates and locations. It looks like they are in a seperate column that is left-aligned and they are just kind of hanging out there. I would also indent the first line of the two paragraphs in the Summary (it DOES look like a wall of text).

Maybe try some italics on the school names or something to break it up a little more.

Take off the objective. Shorted the summary to 3 or 4 lines and move the education and certifications above areas of expertise. Most company wants to see if you have the education and certifications over your objectives.

Will do. Thanks! What about content? I focused heavily on "action words" and attempted to relate elements of tactical training to "team development" etc.; transferable skills.

Its especially difficult when transitioning from tactical / investigative law enforcement to IT

From your objective I know what you are looking for but I don't know enough about those jobs to say if your content will work. But to get the interview they want the education and certifications. You may want to look into IT management role instead of a Tech role.
