Question on Routing tables
Hey guys and gals,
I've been a lurker for the past 6 months or so and I have seen a great supportive community here. I'm getting ready to take my test at the end of May and have been studying roughly 3-4 hours after work for the past month to soak up everything. Only problem I have is understanding Routing tables. Is this an area that appears a lot on the exam? I'm trying to make sure that I study as much as I can but after going through subnetting and what not the routing tables are getting a little confusing.
Thanks everyone!

Darril Member Posts: 1,588You won't see a lot on routing tables.
Make sure you understand them though and one way is to use the route print command or netstat -r command on a Windows system. You won't need to do this for the exam, but if you go through the steps to do a route add command to add a route, it will give you a deeper understanding.
You should also know about the different routing protocols that routers use to share routing tables.
