Outlook Server-Side rules & Blackberry

This is driving me bonkers. I hate BlackBerry but can't avoid it for work. Anyway, I receive about 2000+ mails daily regarding nonsense notifications (can't be changed at the moment) so naturally I have setup rules in Outlook to move these messages into a subfolder. The rules are indeed server-side and the folder are underneath the inbox (not PST)
Example :
Inbox
-Notifications
--VMware
---vCenter
--SAN
---NetApp
---EMC
On my BlackBerry though, I still receive all these emails in my inbox. Now I read that BES apparently kicks in after these rules are applied, which is clearly not the case.
Is there anything I am missing ?
And no, I cannot be taken off these email DLs and the infrastructure cannot be changed, so I need a solution which can be done on either Outlook or BB
