Security Analyst 6+ months in NYC
Purpose of Position: Support the daily oversight of IT Security systems and controls.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Day-to-Day administration of security system events and controls and systems monitoring based on direction from the Global Head of Security. Day-to-Day incident response and security risk mitigation. Day-to-Day reviews of Bit9 Parity, Windows security, Proxy and Firewall access logs, and other information security health reports. Plan, schedule and execute corrective threat quarantine, investigation and mitigation activities by engaging proper vendors.
Education/Qualification: Minimum Certification of Bachelor's degree in Computers, Technology or related field. 3 to 5 years of experience in information technology or security IT.
Skills Required: Experience working and end to end troubleshooting of Windows Client and server environments and domains. Solid knowledge of windows System Processes, Services, System Files, Registry and Solid Knowledge of detailed windows software installation, patching and remote deployment process and windows login scripting. Experience with Windows Active Directory/ Group Policy based security. Working experience with day-to-day administration and troubleshooting of windows networking and windows domain networking services. Strong communications skills, both written and oral.
Supplementary Skills & Experience a Plus: Experience with application whitelisting and forensics tools such as Bit-9 Parity Suite or similar. Experience with web content management tools such as Websense. Experience with McAfee Epolicy Orchestrator, HIPS. Experience with digital certificates, hashes and two
factor authentication.
