sratakhin Member Posts: 818You'd better hurry up and do 70-649 (640+642+643) or 70-648 (640+642) before they expire on July 31st. If it doesn't give you enough time, you can always take 70-640 and 642 separately, and then when you pass 70-646, you will be an MCSA 2008.

msnelgrove Member Posts: 167I just wrote the 70-648 upgrade exam, it puts you on the same upgrade path as the 649 exam and it is a bit easier. As sratakhin said you still have to take the 646 exam to get your 2008 certification before you can upgrade that to 2012

The 70-649 exam is significantly harder than 70-648, as is 70-647 over 70-646, and you probably don't have enough time (upgrades and MCITP:EA retiring July 31st). After you get MCSA 2008, it is a one-test upgrade to MCSA 2012, then two more tests for MCSE Server Infrastructure.
