in CCNA & CCENT
Hello,
If i connect users belonging to 3 different subnets (different departments) on the same switch, Will i need to put them in separate VLAN ,or can i just connect them directly to the switch without being afraid of them sharing the same information?

the 2960 switch is just a ACCess switch. ON the CCNA level you would used a router "router on a stick" which is used to route between vlans.

No. You are thinking of the 3550/3560. These two are Layer 3 switches and can perform routing.R&S: CCENT → CCNA → CCNP → CCIE [ ]

networker050184 Mod Posts: 11,962 ModThe 2960 supports limited L3 routing (just statics from what I remember) on certain IOS images. An expert is a man who has made all the mistakes which can be made.
