Passed!!
Just passed with score of 755, not by much but I'll take it! Didn't study near as much as should... Was kinda expecting it to be close. One thing that surprised me though was I did not get one question on subnetting.
Onto CCENT, then CCNA: (not sure which area I plan to specialize in quite yet, thinking Wireless or Security)

Not one subnetting question? Wow. I had tons. Maybe they are preparing for IPv6 and figuring subnetting IPv4 addresses won't be too important anymore.
Good luck on CCENT and CCNA.
Look into the CCNA Network Simulator by Wendell Odom. It has hours and hours of simulated labs. I thought it was worth every penny. -
mweaver84 Member Posts: 44 ■■■□□□□□□□Thanks! Will definitely look into that! I'm debating whether or not I should start buying some actual routers and switches right now to practice on for CCENT... I'm assuming they aren't as needed for that as they are for the CCNA exams. Did you just use the simulator for your CCNA exams?

SharkDiver Member Posts: 844No, I used the simulator but also bought a router and a switch on ebay. I bought a 2950 and a 2610XM to start with.
There are some things that you can do on a real router that you don't get the full feeling of in a simulator. Things like doing the procedure to recover a password are better on real equipment.
With practice, you can do it either way though. -

Darril Member Posts: 1,588Congratulations on the pass. Even though you didn't get a subnetting question on the Network+, if you learned it, it will still be valuable - especially as you pursue the CCNA.
Good luck. -
