Is that a relatively accurate website?

He'd get more accurate info if he visited Payscale.com and entered in his education and certifications. If he has no on-the-job experience, advanced education, or certifications.. I'd wonder about his ability to get an entry-level support position.

A+, Net+, working on sec+, 4 years unofficial IT work in a small office environment (designed, built, maintained, administered) supporting a gym. ...no formal degree, but working on it.

I am just trying to find out if I am getting offered fair salaries or if I should ask for more. I just want to know if I am getting hosed or not. Ive been a 1 man show for so long and getting paid nothing for it so I don't want to live that scenario again, but dont know what to answer when people ask how much I want.

If you look at how they come up with that salary they take any job with "desktop support" anywhere in the description, including Systems and Network Admins. It has desktop support and desktop support analyst as 41-42k.
