GNS3 setup

Hey all,

I'm setting up a CCNA Security lab with GNS3. What firmware for Firewalls and Routers would you recommend?
Also, can I use CCP in combination with GNS3?

Any other GNS3 advice related to CCNA security is very welcome.

Thank you,

If I were to guess, 8.3+ for ASA and 12.4T for routers.

Also, the Cisco Press site seems to verify that you need 8.3, 8.4 for ASA.

I don't see any reason you couldn't use CCP with GNS3.

Go 8.4 or higher and you're fine.

    CCP works with GNS3 fine,

I didnt find it the easiest thing to set up, in fact my goal for today was to test GNS3 with CCP and after 2 and half hours i finally got it working the way i wanted.

If you run into any troubles in set up give us a shout or post on here, im sure me or the others will be able to help.

In terms of IOS if your using GNS3 i could really only get hold of c1700 IOSes (ver12.3(10))

im sure the others are fine (had trouble with 2600s), i personally just couldnt get hold of many.

    Bets of luck.
