So A few months ago I broke down and started studying for the CCENT, mainly to get a better foundation of networking (along with some Cisco IOS familiarity). I read through the
CCENT for Dummies book and went and took the test last month....and failed with a 775. This was my first certification with a failing score, and boy did it sting for a few days. My biggest problem was that I didn't really lab because I don't have access to any equipment. I definitley overlooked it a little due to it being an "entry-level" cert.
So then I sucked it up and bought Odom's network simulator and labbed away. I also skimmed back through
for Dummies, read some of the chapters from Lammle's book, and also took some Skillsoft courses in my weak areas. I took it again this morning and passed with a 950. It was much easier the second time around!

I know this cert won't take me places, but it still feels great to pass. Now I have to decide if I'm going to go for ICND2.
