PS4 PreOrder (Looks like the Launch model is sold out standard still available)

Amazon splits PS4 pre-orders into 'Launch' and 'Standard' editions, Launch is already sold out I am going to get one, I have had a PS since the first model came out. Anyone else considering buying this beautiful console? I hope that the new SOCOM comes out for the PS4, I bet it's going to be awesome.

I want one but it definately won't be at launch. Gotta wait for the inevitable problems to be sorted out. I also ended up selling my psp & 360 because i never used them. Probably would do the same.

I will get Xbone and PS4. Then I will give voice command "Xbox One, turn on my PS4".

Nah, I will just get PS4. Was never a fan of Xbox, especially when it will monitor my every movement including my eye movement. Then report back to their overlord 'PRISM' under the guise that it needs to be connected to Internet once every 24 hours. No, thank you.

I would love for a new SOCOM like 2, 3, or Combined Assault on the PS4 if that game came out I'd buy the PS4 for that game alone. Me and my friends just started playing Confrontation again out of boredom. I hate the new socom 4 it shys to far away from the classic style of socom.

Niether of the new consoles do much for me.

I'll probably will purchase the ps4 down the line, no way I'm touching the NSA Black box.

I do want one, however I think i'm going to wait a bit and see how the launch unit fares. Then again I don't have enough time to play all the games ive already got, much less anything new. I'm still working my way through a backlog of PS2 titles...

Already pre-ordered my "Launch" PS4 from Amazon the second the links went live. I LOVE what Sony is doing with listening to not only consumers, but also with the independent devs too. I haven't had much time for video games until now so I will start on my backlog of PS3/360 games.

I got the launch model i ordered the same day they announced it off amazon. Here is the email they sent me below:

"Dear Amazon.com Customer,

Thank you for pre-ordering the PlayStation 4. Yesterday we made a change to the name of the product by adding "Launch" and "Standard" editions, which may have caused confusion for some of our customers.

We are writing to confirm that you ordered the "Launch Edition," which is Release-Day Delivery eligible. All other aspects of the two editions are identical.

You do not need to take any action or make any changes to your current order."

I knew this would happen so I pre-ordered it first thing in the morning after the sony press conference.

Yep I will definitely be picking up a PS4 for FFXV, KH3, and the other great Sony exclusives in addition to my Xbox One gotta have all the consoles.

I'll get both as well. I have no brand loyalty to billion dollar companies. That said, Sony's online interface is an absolute **** show. $60/year goes a long way towards servers/support for Xbox.

Me? Ill wait till 2-3 games that I really want come out. Then Ill buy a console.

I am in the air on this one. I have been an XBOX fanboy sence the Duke days. Recently I have been very much leaning towards the PS4 out of principle though. I will make my decision once all of the facts are in the open, but will likely not buy either until 6 months past release. More games, less problems.

I'm not a console gamer these days but Microsoft's new policies on used games has fired me up to be pretty upset with them. I will not be buying an Xbox One for security concerns as well as the principle of the matter. I'm with all the other old-school gamers out there that say "I bought the game, why can't I lend it to a friend?"

Seriously though, I think the Xbox will become a key focus of a lot of hackers. With it being always on, capable of recording video, heartrate, conversations how much better can you get with juicy information? WAIT didn't Microsoft's name come up on the NSA's PRISM list? ... It's a government conspiracy, I'm telling you.

Anyways... PS4 it is!!! Stick it to the man!

The choice came down to a simple fact for me: Microsoft didn't get me an option. It was take it or leave it. They should have given the option: Diskless = 24 hour check in. No internet? Just pop the disk in and you are good.

Adam Orth was fired for his statements towards the public when they voiced legitimate concerns, then Microsoft backs the statements at E3. "Oh well" and "Too bad" are not sufficient answers and they will not be forgotten. I will likely be saying the same thing when the numbers hit this time next year.

Meanwhile, Sony is a hero for doing nothing at all. They decided to keep things the same and everyone praises them for it. Sony may as well fire their entire marketing team because Microsoft is doing all of their work for them.

I am super excited for KH3. However I will only get the Ps4 if I pass my CCNP and CCDA by the time it comes out

I preordered the Xbox One instead.
Being able to share your entire game library with 10 buddies is just too much to pass.

Im sure Ill get a Playstation later on when some game I want is released on it exclusively.

I am sure the strict check ins for the Xbox One is some deal Microsoft made with game developers to help get support for the game sharing feature. I will end up getting both but I pre ordered the PS4 because I always preferred the UI especially for streaming home media, the Xbox I will give in once the Halo 5 hype starts and Best Buy will probably offer some gift card promo with it.

I don't care about the trading game issues because that is going away eventually and the consumer will do it to themselves since the Xbox will have same day release digital downloads, if Sony starts offering that then like my Steam game collection I won't be sharing games unless I have an Xbox.

As far as privacy I can control some of that but I am sure my smartphone is the worst offender.

I preordered the Xbox 1 and PS4.....I don't get what all the hate is about for M$. They are using a steam model.

People hate change and Sony is hiding details....the day after their press conference they said DRM would be up to the developers....

PS4 stole E3 this year. Great job on their part putting that show together. I cannot wait for the release! So many games look so good! I am not usually a launch buyer but THIS sold me

If I get a console I will be getting a PS4. I have barely played any console the last few generations, PC gaming is king.
