MCITP: Virtualization Administrator

Hello,

I am looking to do the MCITP: Virtualization certification, however I am a little confused on the retirement dates.

This link here, tells me the retirement date is July 31st, 2013

Microsoft Certified IT Professional (MCITP)

This link tells me that the the exam retires on January 31st, 2014

Is it just me? am I missing something?

From what I can tell, the MCITP is no longer available after July 31st 2013.

However, for the expiration date for the individual exams, there appears to be a definite conflict. The asterisk on the MCITP page states certain exams will retire on July 31st 2013, Jan 31st 2014, or has already been retired. However, in the overview section of each exam, the 70-659 and 70-693 are noted as retiring on July 31st 2013 while the 70-669 does not have an expiration notation in the overview section.

If I were you, I would call Microsoft to clarify.

Trust the information on the individual exam pages. But keep in mind that they can change the retirement date at any time.

70-659 "is scheduled to retire on July 31, 2013".
