Ive read and heard different opinions on this one... and according to most... it states that they are not allowed to bring a calculator to take the test with. It is usually understandable since most calculators are advanced enough to hold notes and such. For example, my calculator is an HP iPaq that I use for my own personal notes and I even have a .pdf version of Sybex on there.

Bottom line, I wouldnt count on it to bring a calculator. I would however, learn how to set up the table and just write it on a piece of paper once I sit down in front of the PC. Just remember not to start the test and then write it down.... you should write down everything you want and put it on a piece of paper before you start the test.

The table I use goes something like this: (aesthetically it might not look nice in this format)

    Bit Place
    128--64---32----16---8
    4
    2
    1
    Subnet Mask - 128--192--224--240--248--252--254--255
    # of Subnets - 2
    4
    8
    16----32---64----128 (n-2)
    # of Hosts ---- 128--64----32---16----8
    4
    2 (n-2)

Note: (n-2) being that you must subtact 2 from the count to get the appropriate amount of hosts and/ or subnets. Of course for a non subnet zero examples.

Nope, no caclulators of any kind allowed, and there wont be a calculator software on the testing pc for you to use either.

They wont even let you use an abacus icon_lol.gif
    Go Hawks - 7 and 2
