CCNA Certified

Passed the ICND2 exam this morning and earned my CCNA. Wasn't overly happy with my score (888/1000) but i know that i made a few silly errors just as i clicked 'next'.

But now to move on to revision for CCNA Security (booked exam for 4 weeks time) and CCNA Voice then CCNP

Congrats! How was the exam relative to your expectations? I recall the ICND1 being much easier than I anticipated, wondering if this is the case with ICND2 as well?

I found both the ICND 1 and 2 exams to be slightly easier than I had expected. I studied for the exams thinking that they were very difficult and as such a developed a good base knowledge for the exams. My 'on-the-job' experience got me over the line for the ICND2 exam .

Z3.. I didnt find it to be too obfuscated, although there were a few questions in ICND2 that had odd wording that made me re-think a few times. I wouldn't say there were any that were there to trip the test-taker up, but i've said to some others that its important to read the question fully at least twice just to be sure.

I don't want to say too much due to the NDA etc. but certainly understanding the core topics and the ability to gather information about a network are aspects one should be pretty cognisant in prior to attempting the exams.

Yeah, 4 weeks will be tough but i'm confident and usually a pretty quick learner. I'm using the Cisco Press book, the reference guide and the Cisco Networking Academy v1.1 lab manual as well as 'on-the-job' experience to get me across the line.

What resources did you find most helpful?
