First Line Support Interview @ ISP

Hi all,

I have been given an interview for a first line support position at a local ISP which will be taking place Tuesday . Whilst I am already reviewing the common interview questions, can anybody give me some pointers on what technical areas/technologies I should revise in preparation for any technical questions which are asked. I have pasted the relevant parts from the job spec form below.

Our competencies include cloud services, collocation, managed hosting, connectivity, SIP trunking and hosted telephony.

This is a fantastic opportunity to build on your data, IP networking and general IT skills

To be considered for the role, you must have - a good working knowledge of data and IP networking

So far all I can think of is brushing up on my subnetting and general IP networking knowledge.

Sound like what I do, they may ask you about Hyper-V or VMware, maybe bush up on some basic linux stuff... CentOS is very popular with our colo customers for servers (I guess cause its free). They might give fake scenarios to see how you reply... ex: customer x: has a reported downed server, how do you confirm? stuff like that... nothing too hard... they might... ask about ospf and bgp but I doubt it... its definitely a "joat" kinda job
