in CCNA & CCENT
Well after much delay ( 8 months ), I'm finally going to take the ICND 1 tomorrow noon.
The delays were for so many reasons, first I wasn't able to afford the exams ( college tends to do this often lol ), Then I had delayed so much that, I had to review tons without any time to do it as I was taking 6 really tough classes. Add GF to the mixture, and I barely had time. Luckily in a Network maintenance class we finally got into the infrastructure and it was small scale situations with actual cisco equipment, I knew more than my professor on the the Cisco subject as he is more a systems guy, and I was kind of the instructor.
Anyway since the summer started I was able to hit the books and notes I had already. Configs in uni brushed me up a ton.
So yeah, I'm a little nervous but confident at the same time. Wish me luck. Hope I get plenty subnetting questions as this is my strong point.

I love hearing when people are hoping for subnetting questions as they are essentially free points! -

As far as I can tell, subnetting will be pretty big on the CCENT. I've taken the practice tests included in my study materials and the Boson ExSim practice tests. Of course, there's no guarantee that those are anywhere similar to the exam itself, but those all had tons of subnetting involved, even if indirectly, throughout the tests. So luckily, I'm sure you'll be tested plenty on your strong point!
Are you doing anythign specific for the last night/morning of review? Personally, I'm kind of at a loss as to what to do now. I have like 50 pages of notes.. but that's too much to stay focused during. lolGoals for 2018:
Certs: RHCSA, LFCS: Ubuntu, CNCF CKA, CNCF CKAD | AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, AWS Solutions Architect Pro, AWS Certified Security Specialist, GCP Professional Cloud Architect
Learn: Terraform, Kubernetes, Prometheus & Golang | Improve: Docker, Python Programming

Well right now I'm doing some practice tests to get my head in the game, you know focused. Just finished taking one of the Peason practice exams, got an 85%, but that was without doing an overall review before it, I just finished doing a lab, and jumped on it lol.
My main focus I guess, is just getting myself to read carefully. Remember basic stuff. Brush up on WLANs since a lot of that is memorization really, and reading the explanations to answers I get wrong. I have a notebook with lots of notes that I'll read now, and cards with terms just to glance at any I might not remember...I have a long drive to the center so won't get much done then. I'll be up late tonight doing final review and maybe 1 or 2 practice tests just to work out some kinks and be like " oh yeaaahh , I knew that ". Better make mistakes now then later.
Also worked on my subnetting notes, just in case I freeze from nervousness.
My subnetting notes are :
# of N = 2^nbits
# of H = 2^hbits - 2
increment = lowest network bit
128,64,32,16,8,4,2,1
Powers of 2 :
2^4 = 16
2^8 = 256
2^12 = 4096
That's it I can do all that in my head really quick though, just in case. -

sincere11105 Member Posts: 24 ■□□□□□□□□□Congrats. I'm so nervous about it.
I just booked icnd1 for next month. I know icnd2 expires in September. If I pass this version of icnd1 and pass the next version of icnd2, would I still be CCNA certified? -
