Stream PC desktop via Upnp/DLNA
I was just thinking and wondering is any one has done any thing like this.
All my devices phone/raspberry pi/PC/Laptop are set up with media servers to stream video and music via DLNA around the house, mostly via the PS3 to the big screen, but also I have a few other renders.
What would be really neat would be the ability capture and stream my Laptop desktop in real time via DLNA so it could be displayed on the big screen.
There is some stuff around about using VLC player to stream the desktop to a UDP network stream and then use this as the input in to a DLNA media server, but there also seems to be issues of sound here.
I might get a dedicated hardware solution for this, but it jsut seemed a nice idea if you could do it via DLNA or other standard streaming service.
