Not sure where you're at in the process but here are some steps you can consider:
1) Decide what version you plan on taking (700 series which are no longer available after August of this year or 800 series which will available for several years)
2) View the details of the exams from the source (CompTIA) CompTIA A+ Certification
3) Get an A+ training kit or study guide and begin going through the topics
4) Post pointed questions here about topics that are unclear
Hope this helps and Good Luck. -

I agree with the pointers that Darril posted, and will even add some of my own.
1. Set aside quiet time to study.
2. Make sure you fully understand the concepts and chapter before moving on. Not studying enough stinks when test time comes.
3. Make sure to test out any commands or procedures that you don't fully understand. Practice makes perfect.
Good luck, and make sure to continue forward after the A+.~ A+ - Passed ~ CCNA - In Progress

I also agree with Darril those are most important pointers.
This is what helped me pass both exams, just like Darril would advise i used an A+ study guide, read each chapter and took a practice exam after each chapter in the study guide and always make sure you understand the exam objectives of each chapter before you move on to the next chapter, after reading the study guide i watched some CBT nuggets webinars, you could also watch professor Messor's free videos on you tube which ever you choose they helped especially for the practical (220-802) exam. I also had trouble with the performance based simulator question, follow the link for more info on CompTIA performance based questions: How to Prepare for Performance-Based Questions."It's better to try and fail than to fail to try."
